Shane Wood is currently the Co-ordinator of the Tertiary Enabling Program (alternative entry) and of Student Life Team on the Broome Campus. He is a member of the Congregation of Christian Brothers, a Catholic teaching Order, and has 20 years prior experience as a secondary teacher including 10 years as a secondary school Principal, and three years in education administration at a system level in Victoria.

He came to Broome in 1998 to work part-time in the Office of the Bishop of Broome, responding to issues related to Justice, Ecology & Peace, and part-time in the Regional Office of Catholic Education. In the latter capacity he authored a Substance Abuse teaching package for Kimberley schools.  This was launched in 2000.  After 18 months study leave to complete a Masters degree in International Peace Studies, Shane returned to Broome in 2003 and joined the teaching staff of the Campus. He lectures in Arts & Sciences as well as in the Tertiary Enabling Program. Shane contributes a regular justice column to the Diocesan Magazine - 'The Kimberley Community Profile' and maintains a keen interest in local and national affairs, especially those related to Indigenous peoples and Reconciliation.
