Expand your horizons with a Notre Dame program
Whether you’re starting, changing or enriching your career, The University of Notre Dame Australia’s Broome Campus can help you develop the skills you need through a range of programs.
Vocational Education and Training
The University of Notre Dame Australia is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and offers a number of Vocational Education and Training programs (VET) at its Broome Campus in Education, Health, Nursing and Community Services.
All Notre Dame's VET programs have been developed in collaboration with community, industry and student groups to ensure their quality and that they meet the needs of the workplace. Our VET programs are offered both 'on-campus' and 'off-campus', which allows greater flexibility and access by students from communities in the Kimberley and across Western Australia. Vocational education programs can also provide students with pathways into Higher Education degree program.
Tertiary Pathway Program
Notre Dame’s Tertiary Pathway Program (TPP) is designed for students living in rural Western Australia who do not meet the minimum entry requirements for University admissions. The TPP will assist students to develop new methods of learning and strategies for success, as well as the skills and confidence to study at a university level. This course provides an alternative pathway into undergraduate programs at Notre Dame. Using the Regional and Remote Delivery Model (RRDM), the units are delivered either externally online and/or in separate week-long blocks on the Broome and/or Fremantle Campuses.
Bachelor of Nursing (Articulation Pathways for EN Diploma)
The Bachelor of Nursing (Articulation Pathways for EN Diploma) Broome recognises the relevant prior educational achievements of the Enrolled Nurse and offers a specialised course mandated for nursing accreditation in Australian whilst placing a strong emphasis on clinical experience.
Postgraduate study and research
Notre Dame’s Broome campus offers postgraduate study options by coursework and by research. The Graduate Certificate in Aboriginal Studies is suitable for anyone who holds a Bachelor degree and who has a personal or professional interest in expanding their knowledge of Aboriginal people, culture, spirituality, history and politics. Delivery mode combines online study with on-campus, intensive immersion programs. Enrolments are via the Sydney campus.
Research degrees at both the Doctoral (PhD) and Masters level are offered by the University and are supervised by academic staff from the Nulungu Research Institute in Broome. Research may be undertaken either full-time or part-time. For more information please contact the Research Office at email@example.com or the Nulungu administrative team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
