There are two types of accommodation available at the University
of Notre Dame, Broome Campus :
Student
Housing (for long term stay students only)
The student housing provides nine self contained houses, each
with five single bedrooms, on-suite facilities and air-conditioning
to encourage independent living in a communal environment. Students
have study support through their private bedroom while enjoying
the social benefits of living in a small community. The houses
are clustered in a gardent setting, closely relating to each other,
while each house has an outside social area.
We provide a supportive caring environment for students from
remote communities and towns; students from the Fremantle Notre
Dame campus; students from overseas; as well as students from
all over Australia. We also welcome students from other Tertiary
institutions. All are welcome to access the student housing for
a semester or for the full academic year.
Student
Hostel (for Short Term stay student only)
The Student Hostel provides for 30 persons in twin share accommodation
and is ideal for one, two or three weeks of block study, short
courses and conferences.
The Campus is close to most facilities including a good quality
shopping centre. There is a regular bus service. The Student Hostel
has a public telephone and each room in the Student Housing has
a private telephone. Long-term stay students have their own mailbox
on Campus.
Eligibility
Application to live in the Student Village can be made by any
Notre Dame student intending to study on the Broome Campus for
one full Semester or longer. Applications will also be accepted
from tertiary students studying through other institutions. Each
application is individually considered and students will be accommodated
if at all possible. Single person applications can only be accepted
for the Student Housing.
