Notre Dame’s Arts and Sciences courses will equip you with the knowledge and skills to provide support and assistance in the Community Services sector. These courses are available to study.

CHC52115 Diploma of Community Development

This qualification reflects the role of community services workers who manage the development and delivery of programs that build capacity of communities to influence and guide their own future through public social change processes.

This course will move your career to the next level as you learn how to bring communities and groups together to remove barriers and create effective strategies for change. You’ll extend your skills and knowledge in areas such as project management, client advocacy, community assessment and human rights. This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge required for leadership and management in the community sector.

This qualification may enable graduates to work in one of the following roles:

  • Community Development Officer
  • Community Engagement Officer
  • Project Manager
  • Community Housing Resource Officer
  • Neighbourhood Centre Manager
  • Economic Development Manager



All Notre Dame’s VET programs have been developed in collaboration with community, industry and student groups to ensure their quality and that they meet the needs of the workplace. Our VET programs are offered both ‘on-campus’ and ‘off-campus’, which allows greater flexibility and access by students from communities in the Kimberley and across Western Australia.
