HLT54115 Diploma of Nursing

This qualification covers the application of nursing skills and knowledge required to be eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (APHRA) as an Enrolled Division 2 Nurse. The qualification combines theory based learning and practical sessions. Students will have the opportunity to have work experience throughout the course.

This qualification is suitable for school leavers or other interested persons wanting to gain employment in the health industry, and current employees in the health and aged care sector wanting to gain a qualification. The program is also offered to students who live away from Broome. The blended delivery format incorporates the use of a synchronous virtual classroom and on campus delivery blocks.

This course is comprised of one compulsory unit of competency: HLTENN007 Administer and monitor medicines and intravenous therapy.

Upon successful completion of this course participants can apply to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia for removal of the notation 'Does not hold Board-approved qualification in administration of medicines' from their registration.
