Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
The Australian Government requires international students to be covered by health insurance and maintain cover for the length of their student visa. Students must purchase an Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) policy, approved by the Australian Department of Health and Aged Care, from a registered health benefits organisation. For your student visa to be granted, you will need to buy OSHC before you come to Australia, to cover you from when you arrive here. The University of Notre Dame's preferred provider is OSHC Worldcare . Arrangements for this cover can be made during the admission process.
Continuing students need to make arrangements directly with their private health insurer to continue their cover for the duration of their studies.
