Fremantle Campus

The Fremantle Campus of Notre Dame is located in the historic West End of Fremantle, the main port city of Western Australia, 18 kilometres from Perth. It is a "town" university and the only one of its type in Australia.

The beautiful buildings of both the campus and the surrounding city of Fremantle lend a distinctive character to Notre Dame. Few universities in Australia can offer the atmosphere that Notre Dame provides. Study is a pleasure in this environment.

Imagine walking through streets and laneways laid out in the days of horse and carriage, only to emerge into the hustle and bustle of a vibrant and modern port city. Present and past merge into a rich mix of cultures and traditions that is typical of the older university towns of Europe. After taking a class in one of our restored heritage buildings, have a break with fellow students at one of the many restaurants or coffee shops, and watch the world go by.

Notre Dame is a growing community in Fremantle and contributes actively to the town. The map of the campus in this section shows the facilities occupied and/or owned by the University. The acquisition of the land owned by the University has been made possible by support from the Catholic Church and the Government of Western Australia.
