This course is suited to students interested in adding outdoor education to their professional focus and want to learn how to design and implement outdoor education programs for individuals and groups of all ages.
This course incorporates a skills competency unit to the National Outdoors Leadership Registration Scheme (NOLRS) competency standards, including the Wilderness First Aid and Experiential Program.
Admission Requirements:
Four-year teacher qualification from a recognised tertiary institution with a sound level of academic achievement.
Those without education qualifications will need to complete a one-year Graduate Diploma of Education to qualify as a teacher at the end of their undergraduate course, a Bachelor degree from a recognised tertiary institution in a related field such as Environmental Studies or Tourism Management.
