Graduate Diploma of Clinical Exercise Physiology

The Graduate Diploma of Clinical Exercise Physiology is accredited with the professional registration body Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA). Upon completion of the course, Graduates are eligible to ascertain qualification as Accredited Exercise Physiologists.

The course comprises the advanced study of clinical exercise physiology, motor control and learning, biomechanics, exercise rehabilitation, counselling and research skills in clinical contexts. The study of Ethics in professional life and research is compulsory. The degree incorporates 360 hours of supervised clinical practicum within the industry including an opportunity for an international placement and mental health placement.

A Notre Dame Exercise and Sport Science degree is accredited by the national industry body Exercise and Sport Science Australia.

Accreditation

Further postgraduate study completing the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Exercise Physiology within the School of Health Sciences enables students to become accredited by ESSA as clinical exercise physiologists.
