Outline of Studies
Human Resource Management can be undertaken as a major within the Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Behavioural Science degrees or as a specialist Bachelor of Human Resource Management degree.

The program covers all the main functional areas of Human Resource Management including recruitment; selection; performance management; remuneration and employee health, safety and wellbeing. It also covers a number of specialist areas including human resource policy, human resource development and industrial relations, as well as exploring contemporary issues and challenges for human resources professionals.

Students in the Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Human Resource Management programs also undertake a range of general business units.
Accreditation
The Bachelor of Human Resource Management is a specialist degree, accredited with the Australian Human Resource Institute.
Practical Component
Notre Dame gives students a solid foundation for long-term career success. The Business degrees combine academic programs with a four to six week business internship, usually undertaken after the fourth semester. This enables students to gain valuable on-the-job experience and provides opportunities to interact with professional practitioners in their chosen industry.

The internship program delivers essential career-seeking skills through CV workshops, interviewing technique classes, coaching sessions and assistance for students to fi nd their perfect match for an internship placement. An internship provides students with the valuable opportunity of putting theory into practice.
