Bachelor of Sport and Recreation Management

Effective management is an important part of all successful sporting and recreation oriented organisations, whether they are at the elite professional or the amateur level. Effective management maximises the benefits of work for the staff and the organisation concerned, assisting the sporting organisation to adapt and thrive in environments of rapid and pervasive economic, social and technological change.

Students in this course develop knowledge in the management of individual sport and recreational activity experiences and in the management of facilities and resources. They also gain a sound knowledge of the bio-physical, behavioural and socio-cultural foundations of sport and physical activity, combined with a range of management skills and knowledge increasingly necessary in sport and exercise professions.
