Services for Employers

The Careers office at the University of Notre Dame, Australia offer numerous services to employers to assist you in gaining access to our students through a variety of channels. We are here to facilitate contact with you and our high calibre students (and recent graduates). We will work with you to increase your profile on campus and ensure that our students are aware of all the opportunities available within your organisation.

  • Advertising Vacancies

Notre Dame has introduced a Careerhub to allow you to advertise your vacancies on our website free of charge. Our students are encouraged to register on the Career offices Careerhub early in their studies at Notre Dame and therefore opportunities are able to be promoted to students at any stage of their degree. We regularly send students emails regarding employment opportunities, employer seminars, activities on campus and any relevant job seeking information.   • On campus information sessions

Increase your organisation’s profile on campus and speak directly to our students by holding an on campus information session. This is an opportunity to provide students with information regarding employment prospects with your organisation. Wednesdays from 12.30 – 1.30pm is suitable time to schedule these sessions as it is a tuition free period for all students.

These information sessions are generally held in lecture style. The Careers Office at Notre Dame will organise the venue, audiovisual equipment and promotion of this event. If you have any additional promotional material, please send it through to us prior to the event. Employer Information sessions on campus are free of charge.   • On campus Career Development programs

We are also able to promote on campus workshops to our students which provide students with information to help them with their career choices and preparation. Workshops can cover any areas that may be of interest to our students such as resume preparation, networking or interview techniques. These sessions are free of charge.   • Targeted Direct email / mail

Through our databases we are able to do a targeted search of our students for you and email them on your behalf. This is a fantastic way to promote your vacancies and information to a very specific audience. There is a nominal search fee for this service.

We are also able to mail out hard copy information to targeted groups of students. There is a nominal search and administration fee for this service. Material can either be sent to us to be packed by the Careers office or alternatively, sent to us prepacked in Notre Dame Envelopes. All information that is sent to students will have the following information either on or within the envelope:

“This correspondence has been addressed and forwarded by your University Careers Service. No personal information has been made available to external organisations”

  • General campus promotion

The Careers Office at Notre Dame University is also able to communicate relevant information to specific Schools within the University. This may involve posting advertisements or notifying academic and administrative staff within Schools of opportunities. Please contact careers@nd.edu.au for more information.
