Notre Dame follows the tradition and practices of Catholic higher education which, for centuries has offered leadership in university education. It is committed to a personalised education, underpinned by pastoral care and support for all its students.

Degrees and courses are offered in the following disciplines on the Fremantle Campus Arts & Sciences, Business, Education (Teaching), Health Science, Law, Medicine, Nursing & Midwifery, Philosophy & Theology and Physiotherapy.

The Campus is located in the historic West End of Fremantle, the main port city of Western Australia, 18 kilometres from Perth. It is a "town" university and the only one of its type in Australia. The beautiful buildings of both the Campus and the surrounding city of Fremantle lend a distinctive character to Notre Dame.

Present and past merge into a rich mix of cultures and traditions that is typical of the older university towns of Europe. Notre Dame is a growing community within the City of Fremantle and contributes actively to the City.

The University of Notre Dame Australia acknowledges the traditional owners and custodians of this land, the Wadjuk people of Nyungar nation and pay our respects to Elders both past and present for they hold the knowledge, the language, the traditions and culture of their people and their land.
