Dr Tim Meagher has 30 years practical experience as project leader in environmental impact assessment, contract environmental research, groundwater contamination and aquaculture research.  After completing his PhD at the University of Western Australia on the ecology of the blue swimming crab he formed one of Australia’s first environmental consultancies and began a series of investigations into the deterioration of Cockburn Sound for clients such as the Commonwealth Department of Works, Fremantle Port Authority and major industries at Kwinana. His company subsequently undertook many EIA investigations for major industries in the Pilbara, the South West, and the Eastern States of Australia.  He has also lead environmental investigations in countries such as Malaysia, China, Saudi Arabia, and Fiji.
