In 2004, Julie Fedele graduated with First Class Honours from a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Murdoch University, launching her career in research at the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research, where she worked as a Research Assistant for the LOOKING at Language study until 2007. As well as tutoring in the School of Arts and Sciences at Notre Dame, Julie is the Project Officer for Professor Jane Davidson's Singing: A Healthy Way to Live project at UWA's School of Music. Funded by Healthway's Act, Belong, Commit campaign and The Wicking Trust, the project is investigating the benefits of group singing for seniors and people living with dementia. Julie is currently writing a book about her family history and she also performs locally in her acoustic duo, Velvet & Stone.
