Savvas Papasavvas graduated from National University of Athens in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons), and went on to do his Master of Arts by Research at La Trobe University in Melbourne. Since this time Savvas has taught and coordinated Greek language programs in a variety of different areas, and for ten years, was the Director of Education of the Greek Orthodox Communities of WA. He has also worked in an advisory capacity on a number of Committees, organised public lectures and has had two publications, The Greek Communities in Western Australia: their Structure and Future, and The Immigration and Settlement of Cypriot Greeks in Australia (MA Thesis).
