After completing a Bachelor of Laws with Honours at the University of Singapore, and upon admission as an Advocate and Solicitor to the Singa pore Bar in 1979, Ava practised as a lawyer for about 16 years, undertaking general work and specialising in property, security, corporate, banking and finance law. Ava also served for a short stint as a bank legal officer. A change of direction saw Ava completing a Masters in Law by Coursework with the University of Western Australia in 2001, with some sessional university teaching undertaken along the way.
Ava joined Notre Dame in 2002 as a full time lecturer. She now lectures part-time in addition to undertaking a PhD research degree with the University of Western Australia. Her present teaching responsibilities include Remedies, Lender Liability and Commercial Law. Her research is in the area of Remedies. |
