Charmaine has been working in the legal profession since 1994 initially as a paralegal whilst completing her law degree at Murdoch University.

She was admitted to legal practice in Western Australia in 2001 after completing an articled clerkship with a boutique personal injuries law firm.

Charmaine established her own legal practice in 2003 practising primarily in succession, personal injuries and crime. She made the leap to the Independent Bar in 2009 and now practises as a Barrister at John Toohey Chambers whilst teaching at Notre Dame in the area of Tort Law.

Charmaine also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with The University of Western Australia and is currently enrolled in the Master of Laws by Research Degree at UWA. Her topic is Statutory Wills.
