Career


Ms Evans completed a Bachelor of Arts at Murdoch University followed by a Bachelor of Laws in the graduate law program which she completed in 1998.  She was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 1999.  Ms Evans has practiced primarily in the areas of commercial property law and general commercial law with firms such as Minter Ellison and Michael, Whyte & Co.  She was recently awarded a Master of Laws by research for her thesis titled, “Regulating Internet Pornography as an Issue of Sex Discrimination”.  Michelle is currently teaching, and has recently commenced a PhD in the area of Constitutional Law.  She has also previously been the lecturer and course-coordinator of the Contract Law, Commercial Law and Administrative Law units in Notre Dame’s School of Law and has also taught in the area of Property Law.
