Rob completed a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary education and taught secondary school mathematics before managing a camping program for young people through Scripture Union WA Inc for 5 years. This progressed to working as a human resources manager and safety officer in local government, then working in injury rehabilitation and in educational sales. As a mature aged student Rob completed his Bachelor of Laws with first class honours and was the valedictorian for 2004. His honours thesis was on employer’s right to require new employees to be of sound mental health as an inherent requirement of their employment. Rob completed his articles at Jackson McDonald Lawyers working in the employment law team.
In February 2006 he was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia. Rob’s commitment to law and teaching has brought him ba ck to Notre Dame. He teaches employment law, co-ordinates the University’s law journal and tutors evidence. Additionally, Rob has a strong interest in occupational safety and health law. |
