Tony Power is a barrister at Francis Burt Chambers. He has practised as an advocate in all Courts (except the Family Court) and in a number of specialist tribunals and jurisdictions. He has a broad practice encompassing most areas of the law, but with a focus on commercial litigation. Tony is an instructor with the Australian Advocacy Institute and has for many years been involved in advocacy training for the Law Society, the University of Notre Dame Australia and Murdoch University, where he has also presided in a number of courses and competitions as a judge and arbitrator. He has also taught at the University of Western Australia. In addition to practising as an advocate and teaching advocacy, he has also had an opportunity to observe it from the other side of the bar table during his appointments as a Commissioner of the District Court of Western Australia. |
