Sheena McChlery teaches the sociocultural perspectives of health and illness, and the historical and theoretical components of nursing.
As a registered nurse/midwife, she has broad experience in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa in midwifery, remote area nursing, perioperative nursing and clinical research. She has presented a number of papers on perioperative issues at national and local conferences. She has been employed at King Edward Memorial Hospital for the last 15 years. Her Honours degree in Social Science (Women’s Studies) stimulated a strong research interest in the sociocultural aspects of women’s health.
