The University of Notre Dame Australia was founded by an Act of the Parliament of Western Australia in 1989 and enrolled its first students in 1992. It is a rapidly growing national university located in Fremantle and Broome, Western Australia and Sydney, New South Wales.
The University has strong international links, in particular with the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, USA. The University is highly regarded for its excellent undergraduate education, its high quality professional training in such key areas as accounting, law, medicine, nursing, health sciences, physiotherapy, teaching, counselling and behavioural science. It is also noted for its focus on pastoral care for its students and its Catholic traditions.
