Purpose

Copying Whole Book Notice

The University Library is authorised to copy entire books under certain conditions.  Insert the bibliographic details of the book being copied and place a copy of this document with the final copy of the book prior to binding.

 

Course Readers Notice

Applies to the compilation of course readers from copyrighted material.   This must be inserted at the beginning of the course reader prior to printing and binding.

 

Digital Reporduction

Applies to the scanning of ‘hardcopy’ materials (i.e books and articles) into a digital form (e.g PDF).  All digitised materials need to be accompanied by this notice.  The notice must be at the beginning of the digital copy.

 

Free to air Broadcasts

Applies to the copying of free to air TV and radio broadcasts.  Copies made under the Screenrights licence need to be accompanied by this

 

Screenrights Label

Applies to the copying of free to air TV and radio broadcasts.  Copies made under the Screenrights licence need to be labelled with this sticker.

 

Section 39a notice for copiers, scanners and PCs

Applies to the copying of non-audiovisual material and must be on or near every open access copier, scanner and PC on campus.

 

e-copying and communication

Applies to electronic copying and communication of material to a user for the purposes of research or study, and must accompany the communication. Include this text with every electronic communication of a copyrighted work

Applies to the copying of audiovisual material and must be attached to all equipment such as cassette or disc recorders, video or DVD cameras and recorders, film equipment, PCs.
