The University has a statutory licence under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cwlth) to make copies of copyright works in both print and digital formats for educational purposes. Copyright Agency Limited (CAL) is approved by the Commonwealth Attorney- General to administer statutory education licences and the University has agreements with CAL to which it pays licence fees for statutory copying.

Further information about copyright and the nature and implications of the statutory licence can be found through CAL (Australian Copyright Council).
