Browser and connectivity

A minimum 56k modem is recommended for optimal use of this site. A JavaScript- and cookies-enabled browser (such as Internet Explorer version 6.x) is recommended for viewing.

JavaScript

Many of the quizzes on this site use JavaScript to provide you with feedback that fits your responses. JavaScript is also used to launch new browser windows for multimedia demonstrations and glossary definitions. To gain advantage of the full functionality of this web site, please use a browser that supports Javascript, or enable Javascript via your browser preferences settings.

Each page in this site includes a link to a print-friendly version of the content. On the resulting page, use the print option in your web browser.

Plugins

• Flash player - We demonstrate many key concepts using Macromedia Flash. It is recommended that you download the free Flash player.
• Adobe Acrobat Reader - Many documents you access on the Internet and in subscribed databases are presented in PDF format, which require the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to view.
