This library is housed in a converted warehouse building (ND17) located in the library courtyard. The St Teresa’s library supports the programs of the Colleges of Arts and Science, Business, Education and Theology.
The collection was begun in 1992 when the University purchased an existing library collection from an American liberal arts college. Since then the University has developed this collection by consistently acquiring new materials that support our teaching programmes. In recent years an increasing emphasis has been placed on developing an expanding collection of full-text electronic resources, which can be accessed remotely.
The library itself is divided into two parts. The main body of the library houses the library’s print collections, the service and reference desks, and study desks and carrels. This area of the library is a private study zone and students are expected to work individually and quietly here.
The west wing of the library houses the majority of the library’s open access PCs, black and white and colour printers, photocopiers, group study tables and 2 group study rooms (both of which have DVD and VCRs with TV monitors). Students are able to work collaboratively and converse in this section of the library
