The Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement
The Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS) is a Commonwealth initiative introduced to make Australian qualifications recognised and distinguished throughout the world. The Graduation Statement describes the award, the institution and the Australian higher education system in an easily understood way, providing potential employers and other institutions with a greater understanding of the achievements of the graduate. The Graduation Statement is based on nationally agreed specifications approved by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR).
From 2012 all University of Notre Dame graduates, in applicable courses, will receive a Graduation Statement, a testamur and an Academic Transcript. Students who completed their award prior to 2012 are not eligible to receive a Graduation Statement.
