The Broome Campus represented The University of Notre Dame Australia at the 2008 North West Expo on the weekend.
The annual event on the Broome calendar attracts businesses and educational institutions from across the North West and once again proved popular.
Staff and student representative, Elise Kerr, attended the stall over the course of the weekend informing the patrons of Notre Dame’s mission in the region. The photographic display of current and past students proved popular amongst the crowd, particularly with the children, many of whom are now being educated by ex-Broome Campus education students.
Broome Campus nursing staff also participated in a careers workshop prior to the expo opening. Assistant Dean of Nursing, Broome, Sally Clark and lecturer Sr Jennifer Farrell sgs discussed nursing career opportunities with secondary school students from across the Kimberley, and informed them of the nursing opportunities at Notre Dame.
