Equipping students for exam success

The Academic Enabling & Support Centre will host a number of workshops
for Year 11s and 12s as part of its School Holiday Program.

8 January 2016

The University of Notre Dame Australia is helping equip Year 11 and 12 students with the skills for exam success with a series of school holiday programs.

Delivered on the University’s Fremantle Campus, Year 11 and 12 students can enrol in a number of workshops designed to improve their learning outcomes in the classroom. The workshops are offered in the following areas: Mathematics Methods, ATAR English, and Study Skills.

Students will not only gain significant insight into their subject, giving them head start for the school year ahead, but valuable study tips, including time and stress management, study techniques and organisational skills.

All workshops are delivered by leaders in their fields, including academics from Notre Dame, in a personalised learning environment, right in the heart of Fremantle’s historic West End.

“Notre Dame is dedicated to providing our community of students, including those in secondary school, with academic opportunities,” said Associate Professor and Director of the University’s Academic Enabling & Support Centre, Lisa Goldacre.

“These School Holiday Programs have been popular with students who are looking to ensure they are prepared for the demands and challenges associated with succeeding at secondary school. The Program provides a foundation of knowledge which students can build upon as their academic year progresses and enables them to achieve their goals and aspirations.”

“Additionally, they get to experience student life at one of the highest-rated universities in Western Australia, which is rewarding in itself.”
