Before conducting research that involves humans or animals as subjects, you must receive approval from the relevant Ethics Committee.

Before conducting research that involves humans or animals as subjects, you must receive approval from the University's Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC). This includes:

  • questionnaire/surveys
  • individual and/or focus group interviews
  • psychological, physical and mental testing
  • observation
  • access to documents or records
  • use of body tissue
  • use of databases
