There are various support services available at the University for students with individual learning needs. Any student with a disability or medical condition who may require assistance is encouraged to seek advice as early as possible in the academic year from the Student Life Office.
The aim of providing support services is to equal the playing field for students with individual needs so they are not disadvantaged in the learning environment.
If you decide to request support you will need to book an appointment with the Student Life Office to discuss your needs. You will also be required to complete a request for assistance form and provide supporting medical documentation from a health professional. All information supplied is held strictly confidential.
The Student Life Office will consult with the relevant University staff to devise a program of individual support. This may include the provision of;
Alternative assessment conditions
Course materials in alternative formats
Library assistance
Note taking services
Access to special equipment
If you would like to make an appointment please call (02) 8204 4429, email sydneystudentlife@nd.edu.au or call in and see us at one of the Sydney Student Life Offices.
