2011 Sydney Campus Mature Age Admission Requirements

Applicants must have fulfilled at least one of the following requirements to be eligible to be considered for admission:

  • Completion of the Tertiary Enabling Program (TEP) at the University of Notre Dame Australia to the requisite level.
  • Completion of a TAFE or other RTO Advanced Diploma, Diploma, Associate Diploma or AQF Certificate IV or equivalent.
  • Special Tertiary Admissions Test: Overall score of 150 in the Multiple Choice section and overall score of 150 in the Written English section.
  • Appropriate result in the Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR).

The above requirements are for general entry to the University. Applications are considered on a case by case basis.


Mature Age Application Procedure

Mature age applicants are required to supply the following when applying for admission:

  • A completed Undergraduate Application Form. Students should nominate their course preferences in the boxes provided on the form.
  • Certified copies of all relevant academic records for the previous five years (TAFE records, STAT results etc).
  • A Personal Statement, in the form of an essay, outlining individual personal qualities and motivation to study at the University of Notre Dame Australia (word length: approx. 300 words).
  • Names and contact details of two referees.
  • Relevant supplementary documentation (certificates, awards, etc - no more than 8 pages and nothing earlier than Yr 11 at school).
  • If applying for a Bachelor of Nursing certified documentary evidence of schooling (ie Board of Studies Higher School Certificate, or, if the highest level achieved was Year 10, Board of Studies School Certificate)
  • If applying for a Bachelor of Education (Birth to Twelve), Bachelor of Education (Primary) or Bachelor of Education (Secondary) applicants must provide a certified copy of the Higher School Certificate (HSC) Record Of Achievement if the HSC has been completed
