Sagar Athota teaches a number of Behavioural Science units at the Notre Dame’s Sydney Campus.

Sagar completed his PhD at the University of New South Wales. He has presented papers at a number of domestic and international conferences, and has published several articles in international journals. Before joining Notre Dame in 2007, he lectured at universities in the United States, Europe and Asia.

Sagar’s current research involves the social and psychological study of morality, focussing on how the interplay between personality and cognition influences individual morality. His broader interests cluster around the intersection of moral psychology and social justice. He is currently writing a book about the moral component of well-being and its implications for human happiness.

Sagar is honorary chairman of the Veritas Foundation.
