Associate Professor Hélène de Burgh-Woodman is Associate Dean – Research and Academic Development and Postgraduate Co-ordinator at The University of Notre Dame Australia’s Sydney School of Business. She is also Chair of the School Research Committee. Hélène currently teaches a range of management units across undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Hélène draws on her interdisciplinary experience to publish extensively on consumption, marketing communications, marketing strategy and management. Her recent work includes papers in the European Journal of Marketing, Consumption, Markets and Culture; Marketing Theory; Qualitative Market Research; and Journal of Sociology and Social Policy alongside numerous book chapters and conference publications. Her recent paper on sustainability won best paper 2013 in the journal Consumption, Markets and Culture.

Hélène currently supervises numerous postgraduate projects in management and marketing. She has been the recipient of an Endeavour Research Fellowship, a member of the University of Newcastle's and University of Notre Dame's HRECs, chaired various research committees and been a member of ERA review panels. She has also held positions in industry as a senior marketing manager and a marketing/management consultant.
