Chris Campbell has extensive teaching experience across all levels of education. She began her teaching career in the Mount Druitt District in Western Sydney at Tregear Public School. She then went on to teach at schools in Wollongong and South Western Sydney while completing her doctorate part time.
When working in the school system, Chris took an active role in technology in the schools she worked at and was often the computer coordinator as well as taking a leadership role in promoting staff professional development.
Chris was a lecturer at La Trobe University for 4 years where she also taught ICT in Education to pre-service teachers. Her research interests include integrating ICT as a tool. She is currently conducting research in self regulation and middle year’s students as a member of a multi university team who are just finishing an Australian Research Council (ARC) grant.
Chris has just published her first book titled ‘The role of the Internet in the primary school classroom: From a learning and teaching perspective’, which is based on her doctoral thesis.
