Mr Daniel Madigan Senior Lecturer, Religious Education Email: Daniel.Madigan@nd.edu.au Phone: (02) 8204 4138 |
Daniel has a broad range of experience teaching Religious Education at primary and secondary levels in Catholic and Independent Schools. His main focus is opening up the training of Religious Educators to advances in research made in Europe that can sometimes be neglected in the English-speaking world. Daniel began his career as physics and chemistry teacher at North Sydney Boys and Fort Street High schools and has always enjoyed teaching issues where Science and Religion intersect, such as creation and the environment. Daniel's research centres on sacramentality and his Masters dissertation argued that marriage with a non-Christian can be considered to be a sacrament. Daniel’s PhD research seeks ways to explain the sacraments in terms of our creation in the image of God, using the work of Hans Urs von Balthasar. |
