Adrian Diethelm returns to academic life in 2011 as a senior lecturer in the Notre Dame Sydney Law School after thirteen years in practice as a barrister.  At the Bar his practice was chiefly in revenue law, equity and commercial law. 

Adrian has been previously a lecturer in law at the University of Sydney and the University of Queensland, and a solicitor at Allen Allen & Hemsley.  He was a member of the Notre Dame Law Advisory Board from its inception in 2005 until taking up his current post on the academic staff.  Adrian graduated with first class honours in Philosophy before reading for the LLB and has served on the executive committee of the Australian Society of Legal Philosophy.  He was admitted as a legal practitioner in NSW in 1985. 

Teaching commitments: Constitutional Law, International Law, Evidence. 

Research interests:  International law.  Natural law theory including its history.  Philosophy of law generally.  The Australian Constitution.  Constitutional development in Pacific island countries.
