Bernard Evans is a commercial lawyer with nearly 30 years' experience.  He commenced his career as an in-house lawyer at a major oil company specialising in offshore construction projects, joint ventures and acquisition of resource projects.  For 20 years he was a partner of a commercial law firm advising on competition and trade practices issues, mine acquisitions and sales, resource projects, prospectus preparation and corporate governance issues.  Bernard continues to work in private practice and also teaches Trade Practices Law, Corporations and Partnerships and Commercial Practice and Ethics.
