Ian Lloyd graduated from the University of Sydney with an Honours Degree in Law in 1977. He was admitted as a barrister in June 1977 and has practised at both the NSW and Hong Kong Bars since then. He was appointed as a Queens Counsel in 1989 and as a Justice of the Court of Appeal of Fiji in 2008.
Ian’s expertise is in the area of criminal law. He was a Crown Prosecutor in Hong Kong from 1980 until 1987 and in Sydney from 1988 until 1995 (at which time he was the Senior Crown Prosecutor for NSW). In 1989/90 he acted as General Counsel for the NSW ICAC. Since returning to private practice in 1995 Ian has specialised in the prosecution and defence of white collar and environmental crime.
During Ian’s years of practice at the Bar he has also lectured part time in law at the University of Technology, Sydney and the Chinese University, Hong Kong. |
