Dr Andrew Dean is currently the Director of Medical Services at St John of God Hospital in Ballarat (VIC), and is also the Director of Emergency Medicine in the hospital’s busy emergency department.

Dr Dean has worked in rural medicine, and particularly Emergency Medicine, for the past 20 years. He has also worked in General Practice and is a member of ACEM Private Practice Committee.  He is Secretary for the Ballarat Branch of the AMA.

Dr Dean has a strong interest in teaching emergency medicine at undergraduate, nursing and post-graduate levels. He is very much looking forward to being involved with the development of Notre Dame medical student education in rural Victoria.
