Starting a New Club or Society

Medical students are encouraged to consider opening up new clubs and societies.

Before they do so, they should contact a representative of the Campus Life & Ministry Office (CLMO) who will provide them with details of existing clubs and societies to ensure that they are not opening up a club or society that already exists.

Provided the club or society is a new one and there is a sufficient level of interest, then the Campus Life & Ministry Office will assist the students to set up the club.

The Campus Life & Ministry Office will also provide the necessary letter to assist the club or society to open up a bank account at within the University of Notre Dame Australia.

All clubs and societies will need to have a draft constitution and a set of aims and goals. The CLMO will assist office bearers to draft the constitution. Where a similar club or society exists on the Fremantle or Broome campus, then the template of the constitution will be available to student members.

For any further questions or ideas, please contact the Campus Life & Ministry Office who will be only too pleased to assist you to establish a new club or society or to join an existing club or society.
