Dr Rosa Canalese is a senior lecturer with the medical education unit. She has a long standing interest in medical education and has over 14 years experience in this area. She has predominately been involved in the vocational training of Australian general practitioners where she contributed to all aspects of the education and post graduate training of GPs, including being a segment co-ordinator and an examiner for the FRACGP. In addition she has been involved in curriculum and resource development for undergraduate and postgraduate medical student courses as well as being a clinical tutor for these programs.
Dr Rosa Canalese completed her Masters of Public health in 2005, with her major research project focussing on research capacity building programs in General Practice. In completing her MPH she undertook elective subjects in teaching, learning and assessment.
Dr Rosa Canalese is a practicing General Practitioner, with a special interest in women’s health. She is also actively involved with the divisions of General Practice network and is currently a director on the board of the Hornsby-Ku-ring-gai division of General Practice.
In addition she is currently a member of the working group that is redeveloping the RACGP curriculum for General Practice. |
