Mark Tannock has over 15 years experience in Catholic educational institutions in both Australia and the United States.

After graduating with an Honours degree in History from University of Western Australia, he was accepted into the Alliance of Catholic Education, a teacher service program run by the University of Notre Dame, Indiana. After spending two years teaching at St Joseph Catholic School in Jackson, Mississippi, Mark graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Portland. He taught for three years at Aquinas College in Western Australia, before returning to the United States to complete a Masters in Educational Leadership from Boston College.

Mark returned to Western Australia in 2003 to take up a position at Christian Brothers’ College Fremantle. He filled the positions of Head of Society & Environment, Director of Staff and Deputy-Headmaster during his 5 years at the College. In 2008, Mark was appointed Executive Director of the Sydney Campus and in August 2008, Dean of Education, Sydney.

He returned to Perth in 2011 and has been appointed Pro Vice Chancellor, Fremantle.
