Sister Sonia Wagner sgs has been a Trustee and a Governor of Notre Dame since 1993 and was appointed to the position of Deputy Vice Chancellor on the Broome Campus in July 2006.
From 1993-2005 Sister Sonia was the Congregational Leader of the Sisters of the Good Samaritan and was responsible for guiding communities throughout Australia and in Japan, the Philippines and Kiribati.
Sister Sonia has a long standing commitment to Catholic Education and pastoral planning. She has taught in secondary schools in New South Wales and Queensland, lectured in teacher education and pastoral ministry and was Director of the National Pastoral Institute in Melbourne. She has served the Australian Church in many dioceses in education for ministry and pastoral planning.
From 1995-2003 Sister Sonia was a member of a research and planning group for the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference and then a member of the Commission for Australian Catholic Women which resulted from that research.
