Data management

Notre Dame encourages optimal use of research data collected as part of research activities at its University as outlined in its Policy: Research Data Management and Procedure: Research Data Management. Notre Dame subscribes to the view that ‘Research data should be discoverable, accessible, interoperable and re-usable’ (Policy: section 6, page 4), facilitating responsible sharing of data and providing (open) access where approved and applicable.

For more information see Research Data Management at Notre Dame under Ethics and Integrity.

External resources: Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC)

From 2018 onwards, the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) is the online entry point to projects, news and events from the following national initiatives:

Australian National Data Service (ANDS)
ANDS represents a collaborative partnership by Monash University, the Australian National University (ANU) and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). It is funded by the Australian Government through the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS).

National eResearch Collaboration Tools and Resources project (Nectar)
The National eResearch Collaboration Tools and Resources project (Nectar) provides an online infrastructure that supports researchers to connect with peers nationally and internationally to enhance opportunities to collaborate and share ideas and research outcomes. This will ultimately contribute to Australia’s collective knowledge and make a significant impact on its society.

Research Data Services (RDS)
The Research Data Services project enables researchers to easily store, discover, access and share their data for better research outcomes
